Recently, Gap CEO Mark Breitbard announced that the Women + Water Global Development Alliance, in which I4DI is serving as the monitoring, evaluation and learning partner, has reached one of its key milestones of empowering more than 2 million people with improved access to drinking water and sanitation.
The Women + Water Global Development Alliance, a six-year collaboration between USAID; Gap, Inc.; WaterAid; CARE; Water.org; Institute for Sustainable Communities (ISC); International Center for Research on Women, and I4DI, is leveraging the partners’ complementary strengths to improve and sustain the water, sanitation, and hygiene conditions of women and communities touched by the apparel industry in India.
I4DI has provided critical support in ensuring that the project leadership has actionable data to ensure adaptive management and this has involved support to strategic planning, data collection and analysis, and facilitated structured decision-making processes.
