I4DI led a capacity-building project to equip MERL staff with skills in designing, implementing and managing research studies, to analyze and interpret data using statistical software (R), and to train WV Haiti staff on how to design surveys using mobile Android technology (tablets or smartphones) and how to train data collection staff/partners using mobile technology. This later support enabled staff to avoid timely and error-prone data input processes associated with paper surveys and analyze data more quickly. They were able to combine data collection from multiple programs into one survey and evaluate the data separately or analyze data from combined surveys as desired.
