The Institute for Development Impact (I4DI) is pleased to announce that we have recently been awarded a prime contract for the Evaluation, Monitoring, and Learning Services (EVAL-ME II) IDIQ through USAID’s Bureau for Policy, Planning, and Learning’s (PPL) Office of Learning, Evaluation, and Research (LER).
Through this IDIQ, I4DI will provide a range of Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) services at the mission, bureau, and agency-wide level, including performance and impact evaluations, knowledge management services, and MEL capacity building support.
I4DI cannot be more proud to be joined in this award by our two partner firms, Social Solutions International and IDInsight. For its part, Social Solutions has been recognized for its successful work building the capacity of USAID Mission MEL staff globally under the USAID’s PPL/LER’s Expanding Monitoring and Evaluation Capacities (MECap) program. In 2018, USAID named Social Solutions one of its top-performing, women-owned business partners. IDInsight, headquartered in Zambia, has been consistently praised by USAID country partner governments, bilateral and multilateral donors, NGOs, and the private sector for its rigorous evaluations, thought leadership and innovative reframing of impact evaluation practice toward more practical, ‘decision-driven’ designs. In addition to these partner firms, we will rely on the expertise of our two resource organizations, the Institute for International Programs at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health for health-related activities, and the Graduate School of Education and Information Studies at the University of California, Los Angeles, for education-related activities. I4DI looks forward to working with these inspiring institutions over the next 5-7 years in support of USAID’s objectives.
The I4DI-Social Solutions-IDInsight Consortium is well-positioned to capitalize on each firm's technical expertise and global networks to provide USAID and its missions with the highest quality MEL services.
In the time leading up to this award, I4DI has been busy with a number of additional USAID contracts. As the independent evaluator and learning partner of the USAID/Gap Inc. funded Women + Water Alliance (W+W GDA), I4DI has harnessed our in-house, advanced data analytics and data visualization expertise to develop an interactive report and mini-site to highlight key findings from a baseline evaluation conducted in two states in India. We are also in the process of developing a civic tech innovation with a $3 million-dollar investment from USAID under a three-year prime contract to stimulate the transition to a more circular economy in Cambodia. With these on-going initiatives, and future engagements anticipated under EVAL-ME II, I4DI hopes to continue growing its effective and successful relationship with USAID and its country missions.
In this critical juncture in the world’s history, where much is in flux and the path forward seems unclear, I4DI stands steadfast in our mission to drive evidence-based decision-making to improve development practice. The well-being of our people and our environment, especially in this moment, is dependent on responsive and adaptable action. As an EVAL-ME II awardee, I4DI, along with our partners, will work tirelessly to ensure that the services we provide bring us all one step closer to this sustainable future.
