The Institute for Development Impact is pleased to announce our most recent contract to evaluate the US Department of Agriculture (USDA), Food for Progress Trade Safe (TraSa) Project in the Dominican Republic (DR), implemented by the International Executive Service Corps (IESC).
TraSa aims to improve the efficiency, coordination, and transparency of the trade, commercialization, and safety of food and agricultural products, by supporting the implementation of science and risk-based sanitary and phytosanitary (SPS) measures, standards, and regulations.
In compliance with USDA’s monitoring and evaluation policy, the Institute for Development Impact (I4DI) will conduct baseline, midline, and endline studies, and will provide IESC and USDA the performance monitoring data required to annually track actual results against planned targets, validate and revisit assumptions that were made in the project design. I4DI will also monitor the assumptions during the project implementation, and identify potential threats to project success.
Harnessing I4DI’s deep experience with agricultural market systems and value chains, our evaluation team stands ready to support USDA and IESC expand the Dominican Republic local, regional, and international trade in agricultural products, increase agricultural productivity, and improve consumer access to safe foods.
