- Resources: Encompasses the financial, physical, and natural assets accessible to farmers, including land size, technology availability, and inputs. Farmers with limited resources struggle to invest in better practices or withstand economic shocks, while those with abundant resources can invest in improvements and diversify their income.
- Productivity: Measures the efficiency of farming operations, expressed as output relative to resources.
