Data Synthesis and Visualization of The Resilience Evaluation, Analysis and Learning (REAL) Award)

The Institute for Development Impact (I4DI) has conducted data synthesis and visualization of the research and evaluations conducted by the Resilience Evaluation, Analysis, and Learning (REAL) Consortium funded by the USAID Center for Resilience within the Bureau for Resilience and Food Security (RFS).

Led by Save the Children, the REAL consortium has undertaken research related to resilience analysis and learning across multiple contexts focusing on issues relating to shock exposure and response, resilience capacities most consistently linked with recovery, and evidence of the effect of cross-cutting elements on household and community resilience.

I4DI synthesized findings from the research conducted over the lifetime of the REAL Activity in a manner that is accessible, informative, and appropriate for a wide range of audiences.

As a result of our work, the REAL Dashboard, produced by I4DI in partnership with Save the Children and the REAL consortium within the Food Security and Nutrition (FSN) Network, was published. The dashboard synthesizes USAID’s resilience data into an accessible, interactive platform. The Dashboard enables audiences to learn from past resilience activities by aggregating results data drawn from multiple projects and across dozens of indicators. Users are able to draw insights from the platform’s evidence base to inform the design and adaptation of current and future resilience programming.

With this introduction of this innovative resource, I4DI is pleased to be contributing to the effectiveness of resilience programming going forward.
