I4DI is pleased to announce our new partnership with Novustack. With its first cohort residents in Nigeria, Innovate for Africa (IFA) — a flagship program of Novustack — is a fellowship program that inspires and trains the next generation of African innovators and entrepreneurs and provides support to existing innovators, strengthening the entire innovation ecosystem.
Led by experienced educators, entrepreneurs and consultants, Novustack believes that empowering current and aspiring entrepreneurs with the right skills, confidence, and network of support and connecting them with start-ups, increases their likelihood of success. The program also aims to inculcate fellows with five core values: Innovative, Grit, Growth Mindset, Collaboration, and Diversity and Inclusivity, which enables them to consistently work in groups and then reflect on their roles to improve their ability to work in a team.
An essential part of the IFA fellowship is the Innovation Readiness Program, a four-week hands-on training that exposes fellows to key topics in entrepreneurship like branding, design thinking, strategic analysis, the interview process, and in-demand hard skills (digital marketing, data analytics, and product management). With a series of workshops and speaker sessions, fellows are exposed to successful business owners and entrepreneurs who are masters of their own craft that help to develop the fellows’ thinking process.
As a partner of Novustack, the Institute for Development Impact (I4DI) onboarded three of its fellows as program associate consultants to come to learn and develop themselves professionally, thereby driving the overall objective and vision of the organization. We are happy to introduce as new members of our team:
Adeyinka Meduoye – Mr. Adeyinka is passionate about harnessing the power of the digital space in advancing the agricultural production chain, community development, and environmental sustainability. He supports a diverse portfolio of private and public sector projects with content development, strategic communications, and human-centered design.
Abdulhaffiz Umar – Mr. Umar is passionate about sustainable development and climate action. Abdulhaffiz possesses a background in spatial data analysis and environmental research, and he leverages Geographic Information Systems in presenting reliable data and research for development initiatives.
Ochanya Adah – Ms. Ochanya has a strong background in conducting and leading extensive user and market research and designing human-centered solutions. She brings to I4DI knowledge of product design and design thinking in the Health, Agriculture, and Information Technology sectors to advance human and economic development leveraging innovation, creativity, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
As part of the Innovation Readiness Program, Novustack looks to place fellows at organizations like I4DI around the world. If you are interested in learning more about how to support Novustack and grow your team, take a look at the values Novustack offers.
