Reyki Gantare, MEL Specialist

Reyki Gantare is a Consultant MEL Specialist at I4DI, where he provides strategic oversight of monitoring, evaluation, and learning frameworks for the MCA-Indonesia II project. With over 15 years of experience in international development across Indonesia, he ensures that complex, multi-sector compact initiatives are grounded in credible evidence, sound data systems, and learning processes that actually improve programming in real time.

Reyki’s career was forged in some of Indonesia’s most challenging operating environments. He spent over five years with ADRA Indonesia — starting as a field interpreter in post-tsunami Aceh, rising through project coordination and emergency response roles in Sumatra and West Papua. At the Clinton Health Access Initiative, he worked for nearly five years across Papua and West Papua, strengthening health promotion systems across seven districts, expanding ARV access in remote communities, building partnerships with faith-based organizations and community groups, and developing national-standard reporting systems. He then spent six years with Tetra Tech on major USAID programs: first on the $45 million Lestari sustainable forest management project in Papua, where he built and maintained M&E systems across four landscapes that helped the program achieve 97% of its hectare targets; then on the $48 million Clean City Blue Ocean project, where he led MEL design for the Women in Waste Economic Empowerment initiative and helped Indonesia exceed project targets by 250% across 16 KPIs.

Between these assignments, he supported DFAT’s KOMPAK project in Papua and West Papua, strengthening local government capacity in data management and planning.

Reyki holds a Master’s degree in Community Development from the University of Queensland (supported by an Australia Awards Scholarship) and a Bachelor’s degree in Theology from the University of Klabat. He is based in Jakarta, Indonesia.
