About
The Green Cambodia Dashboard was created to allow USAID and the broader public to understand theresponsiveness, accountability and transparency of public Waste Management Services in Cambodia.The dashboard covers two provinces -- Battambang and Banteay Meanchey, and will soon cover thetwo additional scale-up provinces of Oddar Meanchey and Kampong Chhnang. The dashboard offersprovince-level views as well as comparative views across the region. By integrating the use of dataacross citizens, civil society, service providers and other stakeholders, and making the informationavailable to the public, the dashboard will help promote more constructive interactions between citizensand officials regarding service delivery, service expansion, and improved waste management practices.The dashboard contains reliable and internationally recognized data sources that can be used to informpolicies and programs that will support enhanced Waste Management Services provision throughoutCambodia in the coming years. Data will be updated automatically and manually on a daily, monthly,quarterly, or annual basis depending on data type.
The Green Cambodia Dashboard was developed as part of the 3-year USAID Tech for Green Cities(T4GC) project, implemented by Institute for Development Impact (I4DI). The USAID-funded Tech forGreen Cities (T4GC) Project in Cambodia is an applied research pilot awarded under the USAID’sSmall Business Applied Research (SBAR) initiative. The goal of the T4GC Project is to increaseresponsiveness, accountability and transparency of public Waste Management Services in Cambodia byenhancing expression of citizens’ rights and participation in governance, while also stimulatingsustainable waste management practices in Cambodia. A primary data source of the Green CambodiaDashboard is Green Cambodia Citizens, an easy-to-use mobile application for real-time citizenreporting of waste management problems launched in December 2020 by I4DI.
The dashboard was developed using I4DI’s proprietary data visualization library. The software andaccompanying documentation is the copyrighted and/or patented work of I4DI. Information Automatically Collected
If a user visits the GreenCambodia Dashboard, through Google Analytics the Institute for Development Impact will collect and store only the following information about him/her: the name of the domain from which user accesses the Internet; the date and time user accesses the site; the Internet address of the website from which user linked directly to our site; and what information user views while visiting the site.
This information will be used by the Institute for Development Impact for the purpose of measuring the number of visitors to the different sections of the site, to learn which information is the most viewed, and to help make the website more useful to visitors.
Information Voluntarily Provided and Collected
If a user identifies himself/herself by sending an email, he/she has voluntarily provided the Institute for Development Impact with potentially personally identifiable information. The Institute for Development Impact may use that personally identifiable information to respond to the email. The Institute for Development Impact may forward this information to USAID. In additional, the information may be used to count the number of people corresponding with the Institute for Development Impact via email.
